Position Overview:
The NOC Engineer is responsible for end user security and you are primarily responsible for supporting the mission of the department by creating accounts, assigning access within applications, and providing access to the company’s systems. As a NOC Engineer, you will also be responsible for automating the user onboarding and deboarding process using PowerShell. You will be responsible for assuring that users have the appropriate access as their job position requires and will also backup computer operators as needed by executing the production schedule and monitoring & maintaining the systems on a 7/24 basis troubleshooting any problems and escalates and resolves issues as they occur.
What you’ll do as the NOC Engineer I:

- Ensures new hires accounts are created, and assigned appropriate access within applications for new hires according to SLA
- Manages Jams Job scheduling system, adding/removing jobs in the schedule and streamline processes by utilizing workflows
- Ensures access or updates related to transfers, promotions, title changes, etc. are done in a timely manner
- Assigns software licenses and maintains software license inventory
- Creates and maintains PowerShell scripts as needed to automate the user onboarding and deboarding process.
- Creates PowerShell scripts as necessary to perform mass updates to user accounts.
- Works with Business Systems Analysts (BSA) to maintain the User Security Matrix
- Provisions phones and extensions and maintains user membership in Agent teams
- Creates and maintains email distribution lists
- Ensure deactivation of termed employee accounts are processed with in SLA and company assets are recovered
- Troubleshoots user problem cases
- Develops and maintains documentation of all procedures
- Works additional shifts, weekends and holidays as needed due to work volume and staffing availability
- Backs up and assists computer operators as required.
Other Responsibilities
- Ensures D365, AX, SQL, Oracle, EDI, HP, Linux batch processes complete successfully
- Conducts 1st, 2ndand 3rd level problem diagnosis using documented procedures and available tools. Initiates escalation as appropriate to the next level of support personnel or vendors and follows through until the issue is resolved.
- Ensures invoices and reports are printed or electronically delivered.
- Provides operational assistance to programmers, BSA’s or other IT staff
- Monitor all servers and systems including legacy systems
- Automate and streamline system job schedules with JAMS scripts
What you will bring to the team:
- 1 to 2 years of relevant experience.
- BA/BS in IT, IS or a related field.
- Good written and verbal communications, along with strong organizational skills are required
- Need to be able to multi-task and work well with minimum supervision in a sometimes high pressure work environment
Technology Focus & Requirements
- Basic knowledge or training in PowerShell preferred
- Must have general knowledge of PC’s, and servers and Microsoft Office
- Familiarity with Job scheduling systems such as Jams
- Exposure to Active Directory, Exchange, Cisco Phones is a plus.
- Exposure to Dynamics AX, Linux, EDI, FTP, SQL
- Knowledge of desktop & server hardware and software applications is preferred
- Exposure or experience with system monitoring, job scheduling or computer operations
